Cumberland Valley Rail Trail

By

On April 24, 2015 the WooFPAK mushed the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail in Pennsylvania. The valley itself was a well traveled corridor for the Native Americans and later for the Scots-Irish settlers in the 1700’s. Even though the original engineers of the railroad did not want to use the route, in the 19th century the Cumberland Valley Railroad opened. When the railroad companies stopped using it was donated for development of theĀ  10.9 mile long trail.
