Blackwater Falls State Park

By

On November 15, 2015 while the WooFDriver was out on tour with the WooFPAK to Spruce Mountain, they made a side trip to enjoy the views at Blackwater Falls State Park in West Virginia. The park is named for the falls of the Blackwater River that plummets five stories through the eight mile long gorge of the park. The tannic acid from the hemlock and red spruce needles that fall into the water make the color of the river appear black.
