Armstrong Trail

By

On April 5, 2017 the WooFDriver and his crew headed out the the Armstrong Trail in Western Pennsylvania for a Furwheeling mushing adventure. Along the trail you can see historical remnants of old villages, an old train turntable and a coaling tower that still stands over the trail, just to name a few. The Allegheny River was first used to float lumber to the Ohio River in 1806. In 1837 the Allegheny Valley Rail Road Company opened and began hauling the lumber along with iron ore, coal and farming products.
