Exeter Scenic River & Neversink Trails

By

On October 17, 2017 the WooFDriver and his crew took the PAK to Pennsylvania on a Furwheeling adventure combining both the Exeter Scenic River Trail and Neversink Trail. These trails are short in distance but help to make trail connections on the Schuylkill River Trail system. The Neversink Trail is only 1.2 miles long of asphalt and the Exeter 2.3 miles of cinder, gravel and crushed stone. Small connector trails are important as the Schuylkill River Trail is still under construction, plans are to extend the trail to over 140 miles, the full length of the Schuylkill River.

They headed out to the New River Gorge in West Virginia which is full of remnants of America’s history. From old stone structures to coal mine entrances, there is a sense of the old coal mining town with was once thriving. The U.S. Army also had a camp here to use the river as a training and testing ground.
